Our Davenport, Iowa, client is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician for its third- shift operations. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance of the building, all production equipment, molds, production support equipment and machinery. The Maintenance Tech is also responsible for the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance program and timely repair of items on the maintenance log.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct all machine maintenance and repairs in a timely and satisfactory manner to keep the facility running effectively.
Conduct special request repairs.
Search for and order parts as needed.
Perform identified preventive maintenance.
Support equipment maintenance and repairs, including but not limited to tools, hoists and the test and cleaning of equipment.
Conduct all building repairs and maintenance as needed.
Assist in the tool room as needed.
Assist with production issues. Conduct training as needed.
Assist technicians in machine upgrades.
Problem solve and identify equipment/facility maintenance improvements.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, Trade School in mechanical repair, welding, basic machining, electrical, PLC’s highly desired.
Basic machining, mechanical repairs, welding, PLC’s and fabrication skills.
3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Effective knowledge of mechanics, motors, gas fired ovens, electricity and electronics, plumbing and hydraulics.
Valid driver’s license required. Forklift certification.
